Research tells us that each classroom has multiple students with communication disorders who would benefit from direct speech therapy services. Speech-language Therapists can provide screenings and intervention with skills that ensure learner needs are identified and supported. This can often reduce trauma, negative experiences with learning, and in-class “behaviours”.

Our visual below shows why it can be difficult to identify when a Speech-Language Therapist is needed. It also shows why we often work in teams with other Rehab providers, Educators, Dieticians, and Psychologists.
